We spent a wonderful evening in the company of Dimitri, Savvas and their 3 beautiful dogs. The location in a top floor apt with a balcony view of the lit up Acropolis is stunning. We were treated to a feast of Greek food and drink, and even left with a parcel of spanakopita made with Dimitris home made filo - delicious. But, even better was the company of our hosts, who made us so welcome in their beautiful home. Defenititely one of the highlights in fabulous Athens.

The atmosphere was really outstanding and unique! House is very well furnished, Italian style. We went in winter time and found the apartment completely decorated with Christmas lights and a huge amazing tree. In summer times you can spend the dinner on the beautiful terrace which is providing you an amazing view on the Acropolis. The food was traditional and typical greek homemade cuisine, very good! The wine and the spirits were chosen very carefully by Dimitris. The host and his friend are very friendly: they came to pick us up and give us a lot of recommendation for our stay in Greece. We discovered that they are dog friendly and we meet the tree beautiful dogs. English and Italian is good, Dimitris is also speaking a little bit German. The house is situated in the city center and very easy to achieve. In a nutshell we enjoyed our stay and we will hopefully see us again in Italy!

We had just two nights in Athens and our dinner with Dimitris and Saavas was the highlight of the entire trip! Their beautifully decorated home was an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and provided the best view of the Acropolis. The food was outstanding, but even more special was the conversations shared. I cannot wait until our paths cross again! Cheers!

From the moment we saw the Parthenon temple lit up on the Acropolis from the balcony of the charming hosts' apartment we knew it was going to be a special night. We started the meal with a glass of Tsipouro from Volos which had aniseed in it, giving it a refreshing ouzo-like flavor as is the tradition in Volos. The food was amazing as was the company-a truly great gastronomic experience. We had an eclectic mix of Greek specialities from different Islands including chickpeas from Sifnos Island and Ladenia (like a pizza without cheese and very tasty ) from the island of Kimolos. There was a wonderful salad of cos lettuce with avocado and bacon with croutons and an indian inspired chicken dish which was superb as we had asked for something with chicken. The dessert was homemade Baklava from one of the host's sister which was superb. We had a wonderful regional Greek red wine with the meal and the food, company and setting were magical. I cannot recommend this place highly enough- 10/10!!
